The Makita 18V LXT® Brushless Cordless 1/4 Sheet Finishing Sander (XOB02) offers corded performance with cordless convenience. It provides fine finish sanding for a variety of applications with two speed settings at 11,000 and 14,000 Orbits Per Minute (OPM) that can be easily selected using one-touch electronic speed control. The XOB02Z is designed to use 4-1/2" X 4" abrasive paper for efficient sanding.

Engineered with battery and motor locations that reduce flutter, this sander delivers a more evenly finished surface. It features a through-the-pad dust collection system with a built-in dust port, enabling easy connection to a Makita vacuum system for a cleaner work environment. Convenience is prioritized with an ergonomically designed rubberized grip for increased comfort and control, along with a large clamping lever for quick and easy paper installation.

Part of Makita’s expanding 18V LXT® System, this sander is powered by 18V lithium-ion slide-style batteries known for their fast charge times. This ensures that the batteries spend more time working and less time idle on the charger. To enhance tool performance and extend battery life, Makita incorporated Star Protection Computer Controls™. This technology allows real-time data exchange between the tool and battery to monitor conditions during use, protecting against overloading, over-discharging, and overheating.
